The partnership is poised to yield its first tangible result in 2027 with the introduction of an innovative vision sensing module. This module will feature an inertial sensor that integrates visual, motion, direction, and sound data. Such a comprehensive system is expected to enhance a robot’s ability to comprehend and respond to its surroundings more effectively, while also minimizing image distortion caused by movement.
In parallel, the two companies are also focusing on developing a tactile sensing module that emulates the qualities of human skin. This tactile module aims to empower robots with the ability to detect touch and pressure through various parts of their bodies, including their hands and arms. Like the vision module, this tactile sensing technology is slated for completion in 2027.
